United States Air Force Nonappropriated Funds Vacancy Announcement 39TH Force Support Squadron, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey Location: Outdoor Recreation Position: Recreation Aid (Outdoor Recreation) Employment Category: Flexible (Seasonal Employment till 30 Oct) Duties: Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payment for trips and tours; notifies participants of schedule changes; arranges for equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return; decorates community or neighborhood centers or recreation centers for special events, activities, or parties; strings tennis or volleyball nets; lines base lines and base paths; sets up batting cages; checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled; takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Investigation. EMPLOYMENT BENEFIT INFORMATION Regular Employment Category: US NAF employment offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes, in part, annual leave, sick leave, holidays, retirement plan and a 401(k) savings plan. Minimum guaranteed work week hours are 20. Flexible Employment Category: Flexible employees have work schedules that depend of the needs of the facility. These employees may work a minimum of zero hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week. These positions do not receive benefits as mentioned above. Who May Apply: In accordance with the Status of Forces between Turkey and the US, you must be at Incirlik AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country. Off-Duty Military - applicants must complete AF Form 3902 with all signatures included and uploaded.
